Booking and Participation Terms

Effective Date: 25/04/2025

By purchasing a ticket to any dance workshop or class run by @asoulthatdances, whether in-person or online, you agree to the following terms. These guidelines help us ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all participants.

1. Participation at Your Own Risk

Dance workshops involve physical movement and exertion. While our facilitators provide guidance for safe practice, participation, both in-person and online, is at your own risk.

You are responsible for:

  • Listening to your body and moving within your comfort zone

  • Taking breaks or modifying movements if needed

  • Ensuring your space is safe, especially if participating online

We cannot accept responsibility for any injuries or accidents that occur before, during, or after the workshop.

2. Health & Medical Considerations

By attending, you confirm that:

  • You are in suitable physical condition to participate in dance activities

  • You have informed us of any injuries, medical conditions, or physical limitations before attending

  • Our facilitators are not medical professionals and cannot provide medical advice

If you have any concerns about your ability to participate safely, please consult a healthcare professional before attending.

3. Online & In-Person Participation

For online workshops, please:

  • Prepare a safe, clear space free of hazards

  • Use a device that allows you to see and hear the facilitator clearly

  • Accept responsibility for your environment and safety

For in-person workshops, please:

  • Follow any venue rules and instructions from facilitators

  • Be mindful of the physical space and respect other participants’ comfort and safety

4. Photography & Media

We may take photos or videos during workshops for promotional use on our website and social media. If you do not want to be included, please notify the facilitator before the workshop begins and position yourself out of camera range where possible.

5. Respecting the Workshop Space

We expect all participants to:

  • Treat facilitators and fellow dancers with respect and kindness

  • Support a positive and inclusive atmosphere

  • Avoid disruptive or unsafe behaviour

Facilitators reserve the right to remove any participant whose behaviour negatively affects the group or workshop experience.

6. Location & Logistics

If applicable, delivery and pick-up options for merchandise may be available at in-person workshops. Please check your booking confirmation or contact us for details.

7. Legal & Liability

By attending any workshop, in-person or online, you release @asoulthatdances and its team from liability for any injury, loss, or damage incurred during your participation, as permitted by law. This applies to events held in New Zealand and Australia.

8. Consent

By purchasing your ticket or booking a workshop, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood these terms

  • You accept full responsibility for your participation

  • You agree to abide by these conditions

Thank you for joining us and helping create a safe, respectful, and inspiring space for dance and movement. We look forward to dancing with you!
